Licensing

Information on how this platform selects licensed casinos and what KSA regulation means for Dutch players in the Netherlands.

    What Is the KSA

The Kansspelautoriteit is the independent government body that regulates gambling in the Netherlands. Under the Remote Gambling Act (Wet kansspelen op afstand), which came into force in October 2021, all online casino operators serving Dutch players must hold a valid KSA licence. The KSA monitors compliance, investigates complaints and can impose fines or revoke licences for violations.

    What a KSA Licence Requires

Operators holding a KSA licence are legally required to provide Dutch players with deposit limits, loss limits, session limits and self-exclusion tools. They must integrate with the CRUKS self-exclusion register and consult it before allowing any player to access real money games. KSA-licensed casinos must publish game RTP information, process withdrawals promptly and maintain segregated player funds.

KSA-licensed operators are also required to verify the identity and age of all players before real money gambling is permitted. This protects minors and ensures that players on the CRUKS exclusion register cannot access gambling services at any licensed Dutch platform simultaneously.

    How We Verify Licences

Before listing any casino on this platform, our editorial team verifies its KSA licence number directly on the KSA public register at kansspelautoriteit.nl. We confirm that the licence is active, covers online casino games and has not been suspended or revoked. Casinos are removed from our listings if their licence status changes.

    Pragmatic Play Certification

Pragmatic Play holds B2B supply licences from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), the UK Gambling Commission and multiple other regulated jurisdictions. Pragmatic Play games are certified by independent testing laboratories including BMM Testlabs and GLI for RNG integrity and published RTP accuracy. This certification is a requirement for supply to KSA-licensed Dutch operators.

    Playing at Unlicensed Sites

Playing at online casinos without a KSA licence carries legal risk for Dutch players and provides no consumer protection. Unlicensed operators are not required to connect to CRUKS, are not subject to Dutch responsible gambling rules and have no obligation to process withdrawals or protect player funds. This platform does not list, recommend or link to any unlicensed casino operator.

    Verifying a Casino Licence

Dutch players can independently verify any casino’s KSA licence status at kansspelautoriteit.nl/onderwerpen/vergunninghouders. Licensed casinos display their KSA licence number in the website footer. If a casino cannot provide a valid KSA licence number or does not appear in the public register, we recommend not registering or depositing at that platform.
